A part-time worker in our Guardian Angel Daycare (located in the lower level of our building) has tested positive for COVID-19. Thus, the Daycare and the rest of the church building were closed on Tuesday, July 8. All Daycare workers and staff are now in the process of being tested. The church pastor, Rev. Williams, and church office administrator, Susan Williams were also tested and are awaiting results.
Thus, both the church and the Daycare are closed until further notice. In an effort to take care of church business, the pastor and secretary are both currently working from home during this period of required self-quarantine.
Given the uncertainty caused by this situation, we are cancelling our worship service in the sanctuary this Sunday, July 12. Even if Susan and Anselm both test negitive, the congregation would be wise not to take any chances. At some point next week we will make a decision about worship on July 19 and subsequent Sundays.
We have posted the pastor's Sunday message for July 12 in both video and audio formats. Click\Tap the Pastor's Message button at the bottom of this page. If we cannot be together physically, we will be together spiritually.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
--- Psalm 119
You are invited to be a part of a group who will read through the Bible in one year. The reading program, led by Susie Bliss, consists of 6 readings per week (one each day). The seventh day is intended to be a day of contemplation, have a group meeting, or catch up if you fell behind. Susie and others began on July 5, but you can still join in and be a part of the group. Work began on Tuesday, April 28 with repairs to a couple of walls and followed by the painting of all the walls. The next step was to replace our old floor covering with a new carpet. Insulation was placed in the attic. Lastly, we replaced the steps outside the main entrance to the sanctuary. Find out more and see pictures of the progress each step of the way by going to our Sanctuary Improvement Project web page
