For youth who have completed at least 7th grade
Spring-Summer 2018

During Confirmation Class we will reflect on what it means to be a follower of Christ and a full member of a United Methodist Church.  We will also learn about the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism.  We will dig a little deeper into our own faith tradition, but we will also talk about the way other faith traditions worship God.  Rev. Anselm Williams will be leading these membership classes with the help of Youth Group leader, Susan Williams.

This will be a 10-week series of classes focusing on our relationship to God and to church.  We will explore what it means to be a Christian and a member of a church.  During those 10 weeks we will also do some community volunteer work because Christians are called to make a difference in the world.

The pastor will have a very important meeting for both parents and youth on Sunday evening, April 22, 2017, at 6:30 p.m.  Anselm will present an outline for the 10-week series of confirmation classes and share expectations for both youth and parents.  Because attendance is so important to the confirmation process we will want to establish a workable timeline for those wishing to participate.  We will set that timeline at our April 22 meeting.

If you are interested in becoming an official member of the church, please contact Rev. Anselm Williams to let him know.  He is looking forward to this time with you.
